Neuroplasticity

I have heard this word tossed around in a few conversations and have always liked the sound of it. My first interpretation of the meaning of this word was actually amazingly close to the actual precise meaning.

Mine went something like  - Sooo your brain can change and adapt and we actually don't have any lame excuses for our human atrocities. ha!

Actual white coat meaning -  Neuroplasticity (also known as cortical re-mapping) refers to the ability of the human brain to change as a result of one's experience, that the brain is 'plastic' and 'malleable'. The discovery of this feature of the brain is rather modern; the previous belief amongst scientists was that the brain does not change after the critical period of infancy.

So my mums an Art therapist and she gives her clients Play-dough to play with (its actually lavender scented pink, with actual lavender particles in it that me and the kids make for her.) moving on.. So...... I am wondering If the plasticity of the humble play-dough act as some malleable creation to help us change our brain to deal with crap in our lives.

Soooo..... the discovery of the humble play-dough would be a modern breakthrough thats actually always been around, we just have to remember play-dough is not Just for kids (because It's also for stupid adults that need to change their ways). Although always make sure your kids have an abundant supply (so they don't grow into stupid adults).

Maybe a dose of 5 mins a day would be beneficial for all involved.

Geez, I bet your hoping I Just stick to taking photos..
