What are they building in there?

Down in the trees, some movement is happening.
A dog barking, a tractor starting and then stopping.
A bit of hammering, and a little shouting.

What are they building down there?

Kids shouting,
metal clanking and timber crackling.

Why.... we are building an art play house, come studio of course.
Plenty of hammering of nails into hard-wood, so, a little swearing too.

This old hut came from Mt Cole many years ago. Then sat at the back of my parents house for many years, and was used for this and that.

It then was taken down in broken pieces and sat under our faraway tree for three years. It weathered and bent a little, and broke a little more. A complex rabbit burrow was made under it.

Easter weekend we got sick of our plans and started. We built and dug from scratch. we mended, and lifted and heaved, till a floor and a wall appeared after 3 days straight.

Its been wonderful to have a challenge such as this. I love the manual work. I love the creation and puzzles of putting together.

The big splinters, not so much.

    2. No no, he's not dead yet is he?!
Spent all our travelling money on more land to grow more food anyway, and will need to spend all our time fixing up the house and building lots of sheds for our stuff. Might have to draw on your shed building experience :)
