african christmas

So we are heading to South Africa to visit Wayne's family. In 8 more sleeps we will be on an 8 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur for a 3 night stay then a 11 hour flight to Cape Town then a 3 week stay in Stellenbosch and then we turn around and do the same in reverse back home...... Great ... wow....I hear you say.....but we also have a 3 year old, a 9 year old, a 21 year old, and grandparents in tow ( thats a lot of different needs to be accommodating for ...)......mmmmmmmm so  while spending a beautiful xmas in Africa sounds soooo wonderful and adventuress its the planes, trains buses, taxis, cars passports, airports, baggage and all that comes along with travel...... that is.... how shall I put it ...ummm.... tricky!!

(Nahhhhh .....Just saying all that to make people feel like they are not missing out....Its going to be amazing....)

This is also partly where we should of been going to. But some so and so just wont give up!!!
                                       Zambezi river, Chirundu, Zimbabwe,
1995, the last time we had an African christmas.

  1. Wishing you all a safe and amazing journey!!!

  2. It's going to be amazing Rex, is it too late to add another 3 yo, a 20month old and a couple of wannabe africans to the list?!
Can't wait to see the photos and hear the stories over a bottle of cane....

  3. Never to late........ god that would of been fantastic....One day we must all travel to our beloved zimbabwe... one day when the horrid man leaves that beautiful country......

  4. Done! See what you can plot:)
Our friends son is on Kariba at the moment for his end of year trip with his mates, how jealous are we?!

  5. miracles can happen...I dream of that lake sometimes and the zambezi river and of all the sounds of africa ( but maybe not of the hippos snorting at me all night to get me off their island...)
