I remember seeing this years ago. I loved it.
Yesterday bigkids magazine had this on their facebook page.
I identify with it even more now.
Our family have always been huge Leunig nuts. Wayne and I even had a reading of his in our wedding ceremony.
Let it go. Let it out.
Let it all unravel.
Let it free and it can be
A path on which to travel.
Another fav below.
Wonderful - humor as wisdom - can't get better.
ReplyDeleteHumor is the antidote to all, I believe.
Deletelove the sens of humour in this, though there is a good message too. Thanks for sharing,

Pleasure Sandra, and I love the humor in your illustrations. Make me smile all the time.

So many Leunig favourites, thanks for reminding me of two great ones. As I grew up, his writings and drawings made more and more sense, maybe I should start buying the paper again cause life has changed alot but Leunig is still so relevant :)
ReplyDeleteAs you know, we had Leunig at our wedding too. But my favourite all time poem of his is Sitting on the Fence:
ReplyDeleteCome sit down beside me
I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I held my own hand
As a small sign of trust
And together I sat on the fence
Big Leunig fan here. That 'Let it go' was on my blog a few months back too - a classic. xx
